There is no limit to the amount of courses one can take.
Some will, depending on space for a particular Intensive.
Yes, but we are encouraging people to sign up in advance due to the availability of space. Those who pre-register receive a confirmation upon registration at rhuonline.org.
Yes. In order to reserve your spot in the Intensive, you must make payment at the time of registration online.
We never want money to get in the way for anyone getting equipped to minister through RHU. After prayerful consideration, scholarship application can be made by emailing rhuscholarships@rockharbor.org with a brief explanation of (1) what Intensive you are hoping to attend, (2) describe your need.
Online payments are made by Credit/debit card.
$300. Otherwise they are $40 each. The remaining intensives costs are listed in the booklet handed out. You are able to pay ahead of time and reserve your spot for all 9 courses.
Materials may or may not be provided, depending on the context of the Intensive.
If books are required for a course, we are trying as often as we can to build that into the cost of the Intensive. In rare circumstances this will not be possible and your instructor/facilitator will explain what you need to do if a book outside of what is provided is required.
Some will and some will not, depending on availability. That said, any Intensive that is required to be taken prior to serving in a particular role (e.g., Baseline, Tech, Prayer Lab, etc.) will be offered regularly.
We are working now to prepare audio delivery of the Theology Track as well as other select Intensives which will be available online for download.
Unfortunately, refunds are not available at this time.
Staff members, professors from local colleges and seminaries like Talbot, Fuller, etc. as well as qualified volunteers both from within and outside ROCKHARBOR.
We have discussed the possibility of offering childcare, but unfortunately we aren’t able to offer it for the theology/bible track at RHU this fall. That said, we’re working on delivering the content of these courses in other formats so people who cannot make it on Monday nights, for whatever reason, can still benefit.

Curriculum FAQ
- How much do these Intensives cost?
- What is a Forum?
- What is Outbound?
- Who are the teachers for Intensives, Forums and Outbound Events?
- Where is this all happening?
- How is RHU different than a Christian college or seminary?
Most Intensives will cost between $20 and $40 per course depending on required materials and to cover administrative fees and any honorariums for teachers we bring in. Our intention is to keep costs very low.We will also have scholarships available, upon request, so that price never prohibits motivated people to be equipped. Any Intensive that is a pre-requisite to serving is provided for free or at the minimum cost of materials.
In addition to Intensives, we will also be offering another more streamlined learning tool called Forums. These gatherings are one-time workshops, talks or presentations that are meant to expose participants to special training in a more manageable, one time event. Costs for Forums will vary depending on the event.
Despite starting RHU, we are still a church that is exploring together. To that end, Outbound is our experiment in Church Planting. As we mentioned above, we intend on being a church that plants, renews and trains missionally-minded church leaders. Outbound is our vehicle to do just that. This year, we’ll be offering various Outbound events, including Forums and Intensives, uniquely suited for those preparing to serve beyond the walls of RH.
Our faculty will include staff, gifted facilitators from RH as well as established teachers from beyond our church who bring a particular emphasis we feel we need to learn more about.
RHU is housed at our new building on 3080 Airway, across the street from our Celebration Services at 345 Fischer. Most Intensives will be offered there and some, on occasion, will be offered at 345 Fischer.
A core value at RH is that we not be redundant to the great things going on at other Christian colleges and seminaries. That said, some of the motivation behind starting RHU came from the recognition that, for whatever reason, God chose the church as His plan for transforming our world. As a result, we believe we have a unique role to play in training and equipping that these other fine institutions do not. Since our call is clear to make sure that the equipping of Christ followers must be available to every believer, we have a mandate to make our training available to everyone. Further, RHU has the luxury of having access to scholarship and research but is not bound by it. We are exclusively tooled to train and equip. Therefore, our motivation is distinct. We exist solely to empower ministry, using whatever is instrumental to that end.
